Ideal for drilling platforms, oil refineries, hospitals, elevators, transit, and much more, Lifeline fire-resistive cables from Prysmian Group meet UL 2196 requirements, having successfully passed a two-hour fire rating in horizontal installations and a one-hour fire rating in vertical installations.
Both the insulation and the jacket of these cables are made from low smoke, zero halogen material. The jacket is constructed of cross-linked polyolefin, and the insulation is constructed from high-temperature mica tape layers and ceramifiable silicone. The conductors are bare-stranded copper, 8 AWG through 750kcmil. Lifeline Cables are preferred over options such as Mineral Insulated (MI) cables because Lifeline Cables are less costly, easier to install, and readily available.
